Testimony: The National Assembly has just approved the creation of a national cancer registry, at a time when the incidence of cancer among those under 50 is rising sharply. Lénaïg Jestin, a creative director in Brittany, was diagnosed at the age of 35. She gives her testimony for "Le Nouvel Obs."

On Monday, June 23, the National Assembly unanimously approved a bill establishing a national cancer registry, with the motto "Better prevention, better understanding, and better treatment." In early June, former Health Minister and MP Aurélien Rousseau (Place publique), who himself was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 48 , urged the government to complete this project. It is finally taking shape, as recent years have seen an unexplained rise in the number of cases among young adults.

Lénaïg Jestin, 46, was struck down by breast cancer at the age of 35. Work, family life, projects... Creative director at a communications agency in Brittany, she talks to "Le Nouvel Obs" about the specific consequences of the disease when it strikes patients in this age group.
